Hello (aura, aura, aura)

Note to the public: I am not dead.

I've been on a mighty quest for the last 3 years which included hell, fireballs and life ending strategy.

Currently, I am awaiting a turn for Jesus b/c someone has decided to be famous for nothing. Apparently his feelings were hurt and I deserved Satan's wrath.

From what I understand, if I put something on social media, he'll fall to the earth and descend into chaos in the media the right way.

Thank you. It's about time.

PS - My loins appreciated it... 😀😀😀😀😀

When will the madness end?

Seriously...

Still waiting, God. It's summer, and I'm missing out on fun in the sun. Can I go to the beach soon?

It's been a long time

It's been a while since I've blogged (about 5 months... wow). I've had some interesting shake ups in my life that have been keeping me from writing and blogging. I'll go through them quick.
  • I've been preoccupied with some personal issues
  • I got a new job, lost it and have been upset about it since
  • I haven't really talked to a lot of my friends
  • I've been a bit lonely
  • Life is WEIRD
That's basically what's been going on with me.

Just when I thought life couldn't get any weirder or stranger, it did. Over the last 5 months, I thought that I was going insane. My personal life got weird, my professional life got weird, my family life got strained... YIKES.

Unfortunately at this point in time in my life, I am unemployed. It sucks big time, but it is what it is.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel though. I DEFINITELY needed the time off. I had been looking to spending my days just chilling and hanging out for so long, it wasn't funny.

I do have some money to fall back on (whew), so I should be ok in the long run.

For now, I'm just enjoying not working and figuring out why my cable does not work. I've called Verizon so many times that it's not even funny.

Perhaps I can explain more in the future. Know for now that I am ok, and will be ok until about the end of the year.

Until then... who knows? Maybe I'll take another European vacation, maybe I'll finish my novel... who knows?

I look forward to my future journey. And will enjoy spending my free time on my couch :)

WTF

I swear... just when I thought my life was getting better... it just keeps getting crazier and crazier.

Dear God, let the madness end already.

Love, Randi

PS - I can bake you a pie. I promise!

Dear God Part 2

I thought about moving to England after today's election results, but then I remembered one thing - Brexit.

Moving to Paris is sure looking lovely right now.

Love, Randi

PS - Shoot me in the head. Please.

Is this ever going to get better?

Man... I really do hope that Obama gets this economy rolling... because I'm ready to get my writing career started. ASAP (or I should say, a PAID writing career started).

Due to not being able to secure a paying job as any kind of writer, I decided to break down and get a volunteer job. Let me just say for the record - not getting paid to do work sucks. Period.

But the bright side is that I will gain some writing experience, and hopefully I'll learn something valuable. I thought that maybe I wasn't getting a job because I wasn't writing my resume correctly, or that my cover letter wasn't good enough, or because I just had an insane amount of bad luck... honestly, it's because I have no significant work-related writing experience. So, in order to get it, I had to find a part time job. And unfortunately I had to find one that didn't pay.

This economy on some level has practically eradicated all of the entry level jobs, which is why I'm hoping that the economy gets itself together soon. It's really hard on the recent college undergraduates, especially since they are the ones who need the entry level jobs the most. And also, it's hard on us that are looking to change careers. Oh, the pain.

So, with all of that said, I'm hoping that this volunteer job leads to something good down the road. I'm really hoping that by just putting it on my resume that it will help it get a second look. Fingers crossed!
